Purposeful photography, fueled

by passion for simplicity

Hi, I am Cherie Cullen

founder of MCDC Photo, mom, wife, veteran combat photographer.

For more than 20 years, I've had the privilege of helping fortune 100 companies, as well as the highest levels of government to include Secretaries of Defense, four-star generals, and world-class scientists communicate visually. My role is to help them tell their story clearly, strategically, and with impact through compelling images, executive portraits, or carefully crafted presentations.

I started out as a photojournalist in the military where my job was to visually tell the stories of the brave men and women fighting for our nation. I was an aerial combat photographer and I served two tours in Iraq and Afghanistan. I learned a lot about myself, and about being able to make great photos, no matter what the situation. I like to think it has made me a stronger person and a stronger photographer today.

That experience shaped everything about how I work today. I understand discretion. I understand pressure. And I know how powerful the right image can be, whether you’re speaking to a room of executive leaders, pitching a breakthrough idea, or documenting something meaningful and personal.

MCDC Photo, created with the support of my husband Myles Cullen, also a Veteran and former White House Photographer, is built on those values: trust, clarity, and purpose. I work with corporate teams, institutions, and private clients who want more than just beautiful photography,  they want visual storytelling that supports their mission, their message, and their legacy.

Thank you for being here! I look forward to learning your story and helping you tell it with engaging, artistic imagery!
